Legal Services Of Eastern Missouri Welcomes Courtney Simms As New Director Of Development
Courtney Simms has been named new Director of Development for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM), a non-profit organization that provides high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income people in Eastern Missouri.

"We are pleased and excited about the addition of Courtney Simms to our Legal Services of Eastern Missouri team," said Dan Glazier, Executive Director and General Counsel for LSEM. "Courtney has extensive experience working with non-profit-organizations, and her leadership and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to us in so many ways."

As Director of Development, Simms will be responsible for working with the LSEM Board of Directors as well as coordinating a comprehensive fundraising program for the organization.

Prior to joining LSEM, Simms served as Director of Resources for Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis for 10 years.

Before transitioning into the non-profit sector, Simms spent more than 18 years in the banking and finance industry with a focus on mortgage lending and community development. She has served on numerous St. Louis community non-profit boards over the years and is currently a board member for Sherwood Forest Camp and Missouri Women in Trades (MOWIT).

A native St. Louisan, Simms lives in Florissant, Mo.

Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) is an independent, non-profit organization that has provided high quality legal assistance in civil cases to the low-income community for more than 50 years. LSEM is proud to be a United Way member agency. In 2011, LSEM represented over 21,000 people (including clients and their household members) in 21 counties of eastern Missouri.
