Eat To Fight Breast Cancer At The 4th Annual Susan G. Komen St. Louis Dine Out For The Cure On June 21
Take action in the local fight against breast cancer by dining out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner on Thursday, June 21, during the 4th Annual Dine Out for the CureŽ. Two days before the 2012 Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the CureŽ, more than 130 area restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds to the St. Louis Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the CureŽ.

Local restaurants participating in Dine Out agree to donate 20, 35 or 50 percent of the day's proceeds to the cause. All donated proceeds benefit life-saving breast health programs and vital breast cancer research funded by the Komen St. Louis Affiliate.

Visit komenstlouis.org for a list of participating restaurants, hours of service and locations categorized by neighborhood.

The Twitter hashtag for the event is #KomenSTLDine.
Since the inaugural Dine Out event in 2009, more than 350 restaurants and thousands of dining customers have raised more than $300,000 to support the local fight against breast cancer.

Seventy-five percent of the net money raised by the Komen St. Louis Affiliate stays in the Affiliate's 17-county Missouri/Illinois service area to fund life-saving breast health screening, treatment, education and support programs to those who might not otherwise have access. The remaining 25 percent funds national breast cancer research, including research being done in St. Louis.

Since 1999, more than $26 million has been raised in the St. Louis community through events such as Dine Out for the CureŽ. Komen St. Louis has awarded more than $19 million in grants to local organizations that deliver breast health services in the local community.

Komen St. Louis has contributed nearly $8 million to Susan G. Komen for the CureŽ for national breast cancer research since 1999. At the same time, more than $20 million raised here and nationwide has come back to St. Louis-area facilities to fund breast cancer research.
