Life Skills Board Member Kent Schein Receives Governor's Council On Disability Inclusion Award
The Governor's Council on Disability is pleased to announce that Innoventor Incorporated is the 2011-2012 winner of the Inclusion Award. Kent Schein, CEO of Innoventor Inc. and Board Member of Life Skills, will accept the award at the 2012 Power Up Assistive Technology conference in Columbia, Missouri on April 3.

Schien dedicates much of his time ensuring that people with disabilities are included and involved in their communities and workforce. Two years ago, Schien hired three people with developmental disablities who were supported by Life Skills. These employees have made an invaluable impact to Innoventor and a fourth position is being developed now with the help of Life Skills, increasing the company's diversity. Schien is also committed to Easter Seals, currently serving on the National Board of Easter Seals with previous experience at the local and State level.

"We're proud to support Kent as he accepts this award on behalf of Innoventor," said Wendy Sullivan, President of Life Skills. "Kent is making a tremendous positive impact on the community. Not only has he created and expanded an award winning company but his commitment to employment for people with developmental disabilites is unparalled. Not only has he hired people we serve but he has been a strong advocate with other St. Louis corporations to follow his lead and also hire people with developmental disabilities. We are privileged to have him on our board. What a great honor for Kent and Innoventor."
