Blackbaud Social™ Launches To Help Nonprofits Increase Constituent Engagement Through Social Media
Announced today by Blackbaud, Inc., the official launch of Blackbaud Social™. Blackbaud Social is a solution that allows nonprofit organizations to create a privately branded community that integrates with public social sites like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. With Blackbaud Social, nonprofits can drive traffic from public networks to their private-label social network where constituents can be engaged through discussions, photos, blogs, and comments on topics and issues that interest them most.

Blackbaud Social features are designed to help organizations attract and keep constituents by extending their ability to create awareness of their mission while engaging constituents through a platform familiar to them, a social network. Blackbaud Social not only enhances an organization’s ability to communicate more effectively, the platform has features to help organizations gain better insight into constituent behavior. As Blackbaud Social performs bi-directional data transfer to personalize the user’s experience, key data is captured in the user’s CRM profile. Organizations can access this valuable data and leverage it in designing fundraising and marketing campaigns along with more opportunities for meaningful constituent engagement.

“Nonprofits see the rapidly growing potential of leveraging social media to acquire new constituents and engage them with their mission and programs,” said Marc Chardon, Blackbaud’s chief executive officer. “Blackbaud Social finally gives organizations the ability to integrate their social media strategy with their overall communications, and most importantly, with their CRM.”

To introduce the new product, Blackbaud is offering a free web seminar series presented by industry experts, “Blackbaud Social Hour: Engaging Your Supporters through Social Media.” The seminar will be available starting September 17 and continue the three following Fridays at 1 p.m. EDT.

The web seminar series will feature the following four sessions:
