The St. Louis International Film Festival will feature the movie CIRCUS KIDS as one of its documentary selections. CIRCUS KIDS follows Eleven St. Louis teenagers, a clown, a mentor, a dad, a social circus director, and a young film maker as they travel to Israel in 2007. It was the beginning of a truly multi-cultural, incredibly inspirational collaboration between Circus Harmony’s St. Louis Arches and the Jewish/Arab Galilee Circus from the Galilee Foundation for Value Education. These are ordinary St. Louis children who went on an extraordinary journey to promote peace through pyramids in the Middle East.
The film maker is Alexandra Lipsitz, the documentary she made about this momentous journey, is making its St. Louis premiere at the St. Louis International Film Festival November 21 at 1:30 PM!

Circus Harmony is St. Louis' only circus school and social circus program. Circus school means they teach a wide variety of circus arts and social circus means they use circus arts to motivate social change. In 2007, they started their ground-breaking, bridge-building collaboration with the Jewish/Arab Galilee Circus. Their flying students, the St. Louis Arches, can be seen every weekend performing at CityMuseum where they are based. This is also the same group that thrills and amazes audiences at Circus Flora every year.
CIRCUS KIDS will be shown on Sunday, November 21 at 1:30 at the HiPointe Theater. This screening will be followed by a Gala Reception at the Regional Arts Commission featuring a performance by the St. Louis Arches. There is also a free educational screening on Thrusday, Nov. 18 at the Tivoli. Reservations for this can be made through the St. Louis International Film Festival, 314-289-4153. Combined tickets for the film and gala can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com or via the Circus Harmony website at circusharmony.org
