"Heroes With A Heart" Volunteer Grants For Your Local Nonprofit Volunteer Hero

Nominations are being accepted for Heroes with a Heart volunteer grant award program, celebrating non-profit volunteers who have exceeded all expectations in giving of heart, mind and hands. Both the nominating and nominated parties must be affiliated with a 501(c) 3 or registered charitable organization. Total cash grants (USD) to selected volunteers will equal $17,500 and additional video awards are valued at $30,000.
Available Volunteer Grants:
Health and Human Community Service Grant
A $5,000 CTK Foundation Health and Human Community Service Grant will thank the selected volunteer, and a professionally produced video will be made about the affiliated non-profit for use in public awareness or community service education.
Environmental Protection and Animal Welfare Grant
A $5,000 CTK Foundation Environment Grant or Animal Welfare Grant will thank the selected volunteer, and a professionally-produced video will be made about the affiliated non-profit for use in animal welfare public awareness or environmental education.
Arts and Literacy Grant
A $5,000 CTK Foundation Arts and Literacy Grant will thank the selected volunteer, and a professionally-produced video will be made about the affiliated non-profit for use in public literacy awareness or arts education.
Susan Lee Winter Grant
CTK’s $1,500 President’s Choice Award, the Susan Lee Winter Grant Award, will thank a volunteer working to provide creative and innovative approaches to HIV/AIDS education or prevention.
Blogger’s Choice Award
The $1,000 CTK Foundation Blogger’s Choice Award will recognize the blogger who does the best job of promoting HWH, with that blogger selecting a volunteer award recipient of his or her choice, from any category.
Applications for all Heroes with a Heart grant awards open on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012, at 2 pm (EST) and applications close Wednesday, February 29th, 2012, at midnight (all time zones). Self-nominations will not be accepted and grant applications must be completed and submitted according to directions and schedule in order to be considered. CTK Foundation judges will select semi-finalists after reviewing all applications. From March 15th to April 15th, 2012, at midnight, semi-finalist stories will be posted for voting on Facebook (Community TechKnowledge). Winners will be announced in early May.
