The Crisis Nursery South County Outreach Center is funded by St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund to provide support to families that are in crisis or struggling with parenting issues.
Crisis Nursery expects to serve 100 families in the South County area through Family Empowerment home visits and parent education group meetings. They also expect to reach another 100 families through various community outreach activities. Crisis Nursery operates additional outreach centers in St. Charles and St. Louis City.
The Crisis Nursery, committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, is an independent, not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for children, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis. Located at five sites throughout the greater St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions, the Crisis Nursery provides care 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Celebrating its 24th year of caring for children, Crisis Nursery has been a safe haven to more than 59,000 children, and has provided support and counseling to more than 78,000 families.
