Jim Rose, CPA Director of Assurance Services, Purk & Associates, P.C.



Jim Rose, CPA is Director of Assurance Services at Purk & Associates, P.C, where he is responsible for all audit, review, compilation, and other attest services provided by the firm. Jim has been with Purk since its inception in June 2009.

Jim has more than twenty years of accounting and corporate finance experience, including eleven years public accounting experience with RubinBrown, LLP and Deloitte & Touche, LLP prior to Purk & Associates, P.C., and ten years of industry experience as CFO of Fleming Printing Company.

The Not-For-Profit industry is one of his specialties. Jim has served numerous types of organizations, including national organizations and local affiliates & chapters, in various sectors, including health and welfare, religious, private foundations, artistic, educational, research, trade associations, and clubs, and ranging in size from $50,000 to $200 million in revenue.

Jim earned a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Washington University. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Jim regularly presents at continuing education courses and has been a guest speaker at various industry associations, Universities and tax-exempt organizations. He is a member of the Finance Committee at St. Patrick Center, a member of the Board of Directors of Missouri Coalition for the Environment, and a member of the Education Committee of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis, Supplier/Service Council.
