Description: The Arts and Education Council is the only privately funded arts umbrella organization whose geographic reach benefits the 16-county bi-state area of St. Louis. The Council has raised and distributed nearly $100 million. These funds, in the form of grants, assist approximately 70 non-profit arts and arts education organizations which allow children and adults to experience music, theater, dance, film, literary arts, visual arts and outreach. Additionally, the Council provides office, rehearsal and performance space for 16 non-profit organizations in the Centene Center for Arts and Education in Grand Center.
