Job Category: Management/Executive Job Status: Open Job Location: St. Louis, Missouri Details: BioSTL, a privately-funded non-profit organization advancing St. Louis biosciences, seeks a Vice President, Finance & Administration (VPF&A) to join our team and help us achieve our mission of promoting economic growth and regional prosperity. BioSTL builds local capacity and fosters collaborative efforts to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and new company creation that capitalize on St. Louis' world class medical and plant biosciences. BioSTL develops regional assets such as investment capital, entrepreneur support, physical infrastructure including lab space, and supportive public policy, and supports an array of partner organizations to achieve St. Louis' potential in the high-growth bioscience industry. The BioGenerator, a non-profit pre-seed/seed fund affiliated with BioSTL, creates, shapes, and invests directly in a new generation of St. Louis-based biosciences startup companies.

Reporting to the BioSTL President, the VPF&A will evaluate, build and manage effective and streamlined administrative and financial infrastructure and systems needed to support BioSTL and the BioGenerator. As a member of the senior management team, the VPF&A will be involved in strategic planning and evaluation. The VPF&A will also work closely with the President of the BioGenerator to meet the needs of that organization's operations and the management of its portfolio of companies. The VPF&A will have opportunities to interact with portfolio companies as a mentor, and to serve as an ambassador of BioSTL to the St. Louis community and the bioscience industry.
