Auxiliary Group Volunteer

Organization: Center for Hearing & Speech Address: 9835 Manchester Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63119 Job Title: Auxiliary Group Focus Areas: Community, Health & Medicine Duration: Part-Time Ongoing Minimum Age: 18 Details: Overview of the position: Center ambassadors serve to creat awareness and help raise money to benefit the Center's programs.

Specific Responsibilities:

*The primary task is helping plan the annual fundraiser, Musical Mayhem: Casino & Cocktails (a casino-themed auction night every February). Specifically volunteers will:
o Attend Musical Mayhem luncheon committee meetings
o Assist in determining event logistics
o Help solicit for auction items
o Invite friends to attend the event

* Create Center awareness

* Introduce new friends to the Center for Hearing & Speech

* Attend Center's Special Events

* Help with fundraising for the Center

Time commitment: Two hour meetings are held quarterly, but additional time meetings are usually planned the months prior to Musical Mayhem (September-January)

Benefits to the Volunteer: Social and networking opportunities, earn experience in facilitating non-profit events, as well as helping the Center serve more individuals with Communication disorders by generating money to fund programs.
