Reading for the Blind on the Radio

Organization: Minds Eye Information Service Address: 9541 Church Circle Dr., Belleville, Illinois 62223 Job Title: Volunteer Reader Focus Areas: Disabled, Education & Literacy, Media & Broadcasting, Seniors Duration: Part-Time Ongoing Minimum Age: 16 Details: Read magazines, newspaper, books or even retail ads over the radio to people who are blind, have low vision or have another disability that prevents them from reading.
Readers must be able to read aloud clearly and have a pleasant reading voice.
Time commitment is flexible. Readers can read live or recorded on weekdays, evenings or weekends for 1-3 hours at a time depending upon availability.
